This vid is just gorgeous. I love the timing, and the sheer hero power you bring in the clips you chose. I very vaguely remember watching WW as a kid, so there was a lot of "Hey! That's kinda familiar!" :)

Okay, you caught me - it's possible that I got creative with the narrative (hey, it was the 70s - decades before any TV shows (other than soaps) had ongoing arcs! The idea of the long-arc storyline in TV is very recent!) But I'm very happy you enjoyed the vid - thank you!

This is beautiful! I don't know the source, but I've always loved the idea of Wonder Woman even if I don't really know her. This makes me want to watch the source.

Here on a rec by usuallyhats. This is lovely, especially the end where all the ladies are heroes! Is that Donna Troy running with Wonder Woman, too? I've only read the comics, never seen the show.

I'm glad you liked it, thank you so much! At the end, the younger woman in the modified Wonder Woman costume is Wonder Girl (although she may not have actually been called that in the series) and she is Diana's sister, but her name isn't Donna Troy - it's Drusilla. So, I guess it's sort of a version of Donna Troy, but with a different name? I don't know enough about the comic book character to gauge - I am just amused by the fact that she was played by a young Debra Winger.

Anyway, I'm so happy you enjoyed the vid!

Ok, I saw this vid on Saturday at VidUKon and honestly, I completely lost it, it's AMAZING. I can't even fully describe what a strong reaction I've had but like the whole vid and song choice is just SO PERFECT and I have been unable to stop watching it since. Thank you so much, gorgeous gorgeous vid. I've started watching the show because of it (been meaning to for YEARS, ironically because of another vid) and I'm enjoying it. It's fun spotting your clips.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I'm so excited that my vid had such an impact on you! I've loved Wonder Woman and Lynda Carter's performance ever since I was little - both because of and in spite of the cheesiness of the series - and I'm just happy I was able to share the love :-).

Anyway, I hope you like the show - it's, well. The 70s. And they could never quite decide what tone they wanted to take with it - you'll notice that particularly when you get to the second season, if you haven't gotten there already. But I still love it and some episodes are legit awesome.

Back again! I DO like the show, actually, I think Lynda Carter does wonderfully and as a huge fan of Classic Who, and the 60s Avengers, the cheese and the tone weirdness is kind of part of it? But yes, when it gets stuff right it gets it SO right and it's just a joy.

I'm actually back cuz I thought you'd appreciate knowing that I've actually gone on to read a lot of the comics and it's mostly because of this vid. I freaking LOVE Diana, and I'm so so SO glad I finally got into Wonder Woman. I'm head over heels and I rewatch this vid a LOT. Like I do think it was always bound to happen, Wonder Woman and her background hit so many of my narrative kinks but I have no idea how long it would've taken me otherwise, if I ever would've got round to it and I'm so SO glad. :D So thank you again for making it. :D

I haven't seen the source(really wanting to now) but this was lovely and she's titanium and awesome and then all the ladies are awesome and omg I just love this so much. God, this is such an optimistic, joyful vid - especially at the end, where she's not alone anymore - with so many funny moments (I laughed when she rolled her eyes) - and yet I had tears in my eyes at the end: because no, we won't get a film like that anytime soon. Thank you for remedying at least a little this huge lack!

this is such a beautiful video. its been said by everyone else but the part with the breaching all the other "wonder woman" was my fav. the way she inspires and empowers others, which is what her stories are all about for me.
but the action/strengh is wonderful done to, the beat/flow perfect.
