It's not really a Halloween vid, but the show is about vampires, so that's close enough... ?
Song: Not an Addict, by K's Choice
Fandom: Forever Knight
Summary: Who mourns for Electra?
Format: .wmv
Length: 4:41
Download: At Sendspace
Comments: The song I selected for this one is not only reaching the saturation point as far as vids go, but also seemed an almost too-obvious choice for Forever Knight. So, I tried to do something a little different with it; hopefully, you'll tell me whether I succeeded.
The thing about Forever Knight is that it's got enough angst and sexual tension among multiple characters to keep a fangirl obsessed for years ... but (as I said before) the show is deeply problematic in its portrayal of women. Episodes like "Dance by the Light of the Moon" are jaw-droppingly misogynistic, and even in episodes that consciously try to take some kind of feminist stance, the whole effort ends up backfiring spectacularly. In this vid, I tried to demonstrate these problems through the character of Janette, and, because it's a small fandom, I tried to put in enough background to make the vid comprehensible to nonfans. I think I succeeded in some places better than others, but, well, I guess it was good to get that off my chest.
