Yes, exactly, it's why I find the show so problematic! I can't even fast forward past the torture because that's where the flirty bits are. I saw a delightful Steve/Danny vid not long ago, but I was sort of wincing my way through because, of course, there was no separating their relationship from the police brutality.
Yet, like you, I'm still devouring the fic.
