rivkat has been writing a series of ficlets, including several Sam/Dean ones - Bearing the Brunt is particularly yummy.I finally decided to google - and what do you know, it's a real thing. I had no idea.

First, a fantastic Bonnie/Damon TVD ficlet that rivkat wrote for me!! In which Bonnie is awesome, of course, and Damon is snarky and hilarious, and in which there is blood sharing, for which I am discovering I have kind of a ridiculous kink.
Second, two stories about feelings:
yellow, angles or silences. Dean sees auras. Sam/Dean.*
Learn To Glow for Other's Good. Jensen is an empath. J2.

So, forever ago, rivkat wrote me Under Darkening Skies, which is this fabulous SPN/Buffy crossover. And because it was definitely one of those "you're leaving it there!!!" stories, I - and apparently others - begged her for a sequel, which she finally wrote and which wraps everything up beautifully. It's witty and adventure-y with classic SPN characterizations - sort of AU from Season 2 - and wonderful voices for Buffy and Willow as well. Yay!

Sit Down by the Fire - Kings vid. Never watched the show; doesn't matter. This is achingly beautiful.
House By the Sea - Spartacus. Absolutely amazing use of overlays.
Lost Girl: Character Introduction - What it says on the tin. Adorable.
Into the Fire - Lovely tribute to Benjamin Sisko of Deep Space Nine.

Which means it's a WIP, but that doesn't really matter, since the first part is the last part. Umm, you'll see what I mean. This is the ending. This is the beginning. But read the end first.

The Sun Shone on Venus. For everyone who was traumatized as a child by All Summer in a Day. By which I mean to say, for everyone.

I literally never thought it would happen, not any time soon, not considering how much gay-baiting is still very much a part of our campaigns these days. And this is ammunition, too, in the legal fights for gay marriage - "Look," those supporters can say, "even the military has recognized that these differences are irrational."
