SPN 5x02 - Good God!
Sep. 17th, 2009 10:18 pmOkay, Show, you get one episode --
-- with the boys separated, and then I want them back together!
My thoughts:
I cannot believe we didn't get a reaction shot of Sam when Dean was so violently opposed to giving up the amulet. Who directed this thing? It's, like, the clearest sign Dean has given that he's still attached to Sam - and we didn't see Sam's reaction? If they were going to waste the moment like that, they should have saved the amulet thing for next week, when Dean and Sam are separated, so that giving up the amulet would mean Dean giving up his last piece of Sam.
Castiel rebelled for Dean! Awww ... But though I understand his anger at Dean's blasphemy, I kinda think it's unfair that he blamed Dean for failing in his efforts to save the world. Dean also wouldn't have failed if Castiel had rebelled, like, five minutes earlier.
Dean said "Yes, ma'am," to Ellen. My mind is going to the porny place.
I will be so disappointed when Death shows up and he's not Peter Wingfield.
If they don't want people to confuse this with the X-Files, they could try not using 90% of the production staff and all the storylines.
They didn't do a whole lot, but it's nice that Rufus and Jo survived (along with Ellen, who, obviously, did more).
I'm with
tripoli8 - I also thought it was weird that Ellen agreed with Sam that Jo couldn't "hack the life." Ellen didn't want her daughter doing dangerous things; it wasn't that she thought Jo would be bad at it.
The look on Dean's face when Sam said he was leaving - and Dean realized he had to agree - broke my heart. Waaaaah! It's kind of ridiculous that Dean didn't, like, ask Sam where he was going or what he was going to do, or anything. If Dean's concerned that Sam will fall of the wagon, you'd think he'd at least want to know that Sam was going somewhere safe.
Sam ... had the easiest time hitching a ride ever.
