Louisiana. I can't even.

But here is a video of a cat and a bunny rabbit. The best part comes in the last third or so.

Oh, Louisiana. :-/

Edit: I live here, but, um, I feel deeply outnumbered. Yeah.

I am flashing to my first few years teaching in rural Texas when a significant percentage of my students were absolutely convinced that "religion"="Christian" and Catholic, for example, did NOT equal Christian.

Like the student in an argument class who gave up his topic when he realized that a procedure at state funded universities to allow Christian groups to get funding would also have to allow Muslim groups, etc.

Or the student who was horrified to learn that freedom of religion in the U.S. also covered (wait for it) the Church of Satan. Which was a real thing (another student told her that, not me).

After a while I switched all my argument courses (first year comp) to analytical arguments based on texts, or research in careers, etc., and cut out all the stupid "important controversial topics" fake debate approach.

Even five years ago, when the Diversity Office was setting up a brown bag educational luncheon in "diversity" series, their "religious" lunch billed itself as diverse because it had a Catholic! As well as Baptists!

I asked whey there weren't any people who were in "notchristian" religions, and everybody on the committee looked surprised.

I'm out as a queer woman; but I'm not generally out as a pagan.

And Louisiana is right next door....
