I picked up a free preview issue of Ultimate Spiderman (based on an upcoming cartoon, I guess?) and inside there's a profile of Agent Coulson acting undercover as Peter Parker's high school principal, with a very good drawn likeness of Clark Gregg. Cute.
Yep -- another free Issue I picked up this week-end is an Avengers title with both Wolverine and Spidey on the cover. (And I bought the issue where Squirrel Girl beats up Wolverine from last year, because Squirrel Girl beats up Wolverine!). The Spiderman film right were sold to another studio so he couldn't be integrated into the Avengers movie.
But mostly I brought this up because I found it neat that Coulson, who I think was created for the movies, lives on in the Marvelverse beyond them.
God, yes, I saw that on tumblr and I just. Yes. I follow him on twitter as well (it's so good for celebrity stalking - him, Tom Hiddleston, and the cast of Community) and he's so nice and down to earth. Just like that story and it's a nice show of respect and shows a willingness to learn and engage with fandom that makes me happy.
