one could say about this story but the thing that really gets to me is how for months this guy just had no concept of why the app would be terrifying and threatening to women. Although I'm glad he figured it out in the end.

I don't really know enough about it to gauge - I mean, I figure if people know how much they're revealing and choose it, that's fine, but when your privacy policies are opaque and the default settings are "tell the world" that's a problem.
