Supernatural 7x17
Mar. 24th, 2012 06:33 amI enjoyed that! That's, like, two episodes in a row that I really liked! I mean, sure -
It was one of those episodes that was constructed with a lot of filler - the entire Sam-exorcises-a-ghost storyline seemed designed to deal with the fact that the discovery of Cas wasn't enough to fill the 42 minutes - but I was entertained and I liked how Cas (and Meg) were reintroduced.
One thing though - married? Seriously? He popped up out of nowhere with complete amnesia and not a stitch to his name but somehow he got married in the space of only a couple of months? I assume we're not supposed to think so, but doesn't that make Daphne sound kind of ... creepy? Like, she's taking advantage of him in some way instead of waiting until his life is more settled?
Also, is Dean ever planning to tell Daphne that her husband is locked up? Or is she supposed to just wonder about it forever?
Finally, I appreciate Cas wanting to atone for his earlier conduct, but I'm not sure giving the massively-powered angel nonstop hallucinations of Lucifer was the wisest choice there.
Still, if I suspend my disbelief over these plot points, it was a solid ep and I look forward to seeing this storyline continue (since I assume that the season will end with some kind of progress toward curing Cas and springing him from the hospital).
By the way, is anyone else not getting Dreamwidth comment notifications?
