Did the market know about Appleā€™s announcement?

This has been another edition of simple answers to easy questions.

(Longer explanation - it's been very well documented for decades that stock prices of companies go up in the days before big announcements, like mergers (pdf) - because the news leaks and insiders, or people who know insiders, trade on it. And the SEC will only catch a fraction of the people responsible.)
