Some beautiful, saintly person has posted an XMFC trailer that includes - wait for it - the Fassbender cross-dressing scene that was deleted from the final movie.

No, seriously. It's at the 4:00 mark.



I will forever mourn the loss. And if that scene doesn't appear on the DVD, I will run amok.

Well, the ad says that the never-before-scenes will be included on the Blueray and DVD, so! (At least here in Japan, and I doubt they'd deprive the rest of the world *g*)

Exactly - I'd just heard mention of crossdressing and I couldn't figure out how that could possibly be, so I assumed it was some sort of joke or exaggeration.

Hee. That was a rather clever way to fit in crossdressing without it actually happening. It's not my kink at all (well, as far as men in female dress go, women in male drag I like much more), but I expect much of fandom will be pleased.

Yeah, it's actually not a kink of mine either - but the scene is so very slashy (and I actually think it's sort of the best character moment for Angel so far) that I really love it.

Yes, it is very slashy. I mean, it already was, but that Charles proves his telepathy by mentally crossdressing Erik notches it up again.

....yeah, that does kind of really kill it, doesn't it. Like every time I think about the ending of Chinatown now, I flinch.

I really liked that scene in context; a painless but fun demonstration of his powers that still implies less-than-painless uses.

I love the scene for so many reasons. As you say, it's a great mini demonstration of how powerful Charles is - which is something that is, like, my favorite thing to explore; it's slashy (duh!); it's probably the best character moment for Angel, and it breaks up what is otherwise a really grossly sexualized scene that portrays the guys as johns and Angel as a prostitute; it foreshadows Charles's later use of the same power to convince the soldiers that the truck in empty.
