I believe Duran Duran may have been my very first lust. I couldn't decide between Simon and John. So it doesn't surprise me at all that they're the ones who are the focus of the slash.

Duran Duran have always been together. Since 1978.

And Roger and John, who've come and gone but are back. But there's always been a band called Duran Duran, putting out albums (roughly every 3 years) and touring a lot.

Oh, I read that interview over the weekend! Really enjoyed it. I never knew about the fanfic either. Although I have been following the band since 1984 and am currently vidding them, LOL.

Glad to hear what they said about their last album - I thought I was the only one disillusioned by the fact they didn't sound like them anymore.

I've been wondering why there aren't more vids to Duran Duran songs (I can only think of one off hand) and I vaguely have an idea for one, as well, though I don't know if I'll ever get to it.

Well, kinda both actually. I'm making an RPV of them (I've never tried that before so thought I'd give it a crack). I also recently bought an auction vid from Obsessive24 which is an Angel vid set to Duran Duran. It's an idea I've had forever but felt I wasn't good enough to do it justice. She is :o)

Oh, that also reminds me of another Duran Duran vid I know - also Buffyverse, by Charmax, which was an auction vid. - scratch that, maybe it wasn't Duran Duran.

So, then, yes there are a few out there - but not enough! I look forward to seeing yours - I haven't watched these guys in forever.

Yes... there's a few out there. Milly did an awesome Buffyverse one to "She's Too Much" I think, off their last album. Charmax's one was to "Still Breathing" from the 2004 album Astronaut. I have that one on my hard drive. And I'm sure Obsessive24 did something to "Come Undone" at some stage too. But we could definitely do with more Duran :o)
