But ever since I read All the Girls Out on the Stoop I've kind of been devouring Steve/Danno fic. (I don't know either).

Anyhoo, I gather from the comments that it's probably already been seen by everyone in the fandom, but I really loved End-Around. It's got a subtle h/c thing going on, which always makes me happy, but what I particularly like is the way consent is emphasized and almost fetishized. Which just makes it all doubly-hot.

The story is actually pretty similar to one of my faves from S&H fandom, Feeling Big by Molo (part of the Big Series), in case anyone is looking for more in the genre.

The feeling that I am missing all this good fic is driving me crazy. I may cave after all. I stopped watching the show because, what?? I do not like police brutality. Also, I'm more and more bothered by the insistence on pairing the two white guys in every show. I guess it doesn't bother me as much with Spn because there aren't any other choices, but when I see hot guys being passed by for no reason I can see except race, it bothers me more.

I did read All the Girls out on the Stoop, and it was goooooood. I've never gotten into a fandom without enjoying the show, but you're tempting me.

I feel exactly the same way, about all of it! I can't stand the police brutality; somehow, making the two white guys the center of everything is worse when the show is kind of ensemble-y; and also there is so much casual sexism it makes me want to throw things. But I do like the dynamic between the buddies - buddies are my kryptonite - it's just that the show's frustrations aren't worth the pleasures.

The fic, on the other hand, is a lot less annoying. And, just like you, I've never done fic before separate from the source.
