I'd like to see a series of episodes where Nikita doesn't succeed solely by Michael's mercy now.

I know I asked for more of Peta Wilson's uncertainty and emotional vulnerability, but I take it back. On this Nikita (as seen in flashbacks) it was just weird and disturbing. It works for me way better with Alex, who is, for me, the real reason to watch the show. Alex is the one constantly in real danger but has to hold on to her strength; Nikita doesn't have anything like that struggle. And I realize Batman did it first, but there's something genuinely creepy about Nikita being on the outside and relatively in control and safe, but expecting this child to put herself constantly at risk.

I hate plots where the climax concerns which wire to cut on a bomb. Hate, hate, hate. Not just because they're tired and cliche, which they are, or because there's no tension since we know the bomb isn't going to blow up in the hero's hands, which there isn't. It's because they're bad television. There's nothing visual in the scenario; all the audience sees is a box with wires. We can't see which is the right wire to cut, or even what considerations go into determining which wire to cut. We might as well be watching someone do a math problem in their head.

And finally, holy shit, the season finale of Rizzoli & Isles. Holy. Shit.
