White Collar this week
Jul. 23rd, 2010 09:14 pmwas absolutely gleeful. And highlighted why Neal/Peter/Elizabeth just doesn't work for me.
Elizabeth just isn't part of the team. They tried to come up with ways to integrate her into the investigations last season, but there are only so many times that an event planner will turn out to have a useful role to play. So Elizabeth is left mostly on the sidelines.
I'm not really into OT3s generally (I've only liked two), but a necessary precondition for me will always be that the three be part of a single unit or team in some way.
This week, though? With Diana? That was awesome and hilarious and adorable (although I did cringe when Neal pushed her to flirt more obtrusively with him).
Meanwhile, the flirtation between Peter and Neal is seriously over-the-top. Between Neal being all trusting and then betrayed and asking Peter out on a date, and the two of them just enjoying each other so much - it's really surprising to me how not subtle it is, but it's also delightful.
Also, I've never seen an episode of NCIS, but the reruns come on just before Burn Notice and my DVR keeps recording the last minute or so. Am I wrong, or does every single episode end with Mark Harmon interacting with a different woman in some mournful or wisftful or regretful way?
