That was a lot of fun and I actually laughed out loud several places, but -
What, exactly, was going on with the second victim of the spaceship thing? Because ... she looked like she was possibly a recently-raped prostitute? Which - would be weird? Was I missing something?
Well, I didn't say she got in a fight with a woman. Still, she could have. Yes, women fighting is rare, but she was at a club, there are often drunk/high people at clubs. There could have been a fight over a guy or an ex that got physical. But yeah, more likely she got harassed and had someone grab her blouse as she tried to walk away. I was picturing something disturbing, but not as disturbing as actually getting raped.
What was weird for me was that Clubber Girl was the only victim where we were actually shown a reason why she might be thinking, "oh man, I totally wish I were NOT IN THIS PLACE right now." Maybe it would have been too obvious if everyone who got sucked into the upstairs flat had been-- I don't know, staring dreamily at an airline billboard, or sighing as they got yelled at over the phone, or something. But it still seems weird that everyone else just seemed totally bland and normal, and not really unhappy.
I thought the third person looked actively unhappy - blonde, with glasses? She looked sad to me although, unlike Clubbing Girl, there was no real sense why.
no, I thought that too, and was completely WTF about it. I guess in retrospect they were going for the "wishes she were somewhere else," but . . . I mean, it didn't work as a clue to indicate that in advance, it only works in retrospect, and also at the time I was confused about why a woman who'd been sexually harassed/raped/in a fight (and who definitely read to me as tv-version of a prostitute) was even there. It just seemed so bizarre and out of nowhere and insufficiently explained.
Exactly, it was bizarre - such a drastic tonal shift. I have to assume they were just going for a woman who had an unhappy night at a club and ... seriously overshot the mark.

Although honestly, I'm not one for clubbing, but I'd imagine women getting into physical fights is ... rare? It was just such a weird physical choice.
