meredith44, I see that Legend of the Seeker has been canceled.
Even though I was essentially only watching for Cara (and thus found the last two episodes largely unbearable), I'll miss my intermittent amusement.

Kind of like The Middleman, actually - very different sort of show, but I felt it's flaw was that I couldn't tell what age group it was aiming for.

Date: 2010-04-26 06:51 pm (UTC)The Lad's at that rather interesting age where he takes in what he can understand, and either ignores or asks for brief factual explanations on the rest. So we've explained that a 'brothel' is a place where people have sex for money, and that it's not ok to torture or kiss someone who doesn't want to be tortured or kissed by you... but overall, he's far more interested in the whys and wherefores of Banelings and in weaseling out how the magic system works than in anything else. The series, uneven and sketchy though it is, has occasionally thrown up a relatively interesting moral question. Plus, shiny. I do wonder how it might have worked if the two leads weren't quite so charmless.
