I have a couple of One Direction fans on my FList, right?

I don't know if you're reading this, but is it true that the fandom doesn't distinguish between "shippers" and "believers"? I.e., that all people who 'ship necessarily also believe that the 'ship is true in real life?

(I am not commenting on the reasonableness of such belief; I couldn't pick the members of One Direction out of a lineup, so I have no idea how they conduct themselves in public. For all I know, they trade handjobs during interviews which, I would have to admit, if true, would constitute strong evidence of a real life romance.)
