What's the name of that TOS novel that stars two women who are nominally original characters but really are sort of always-a-girl versions of Kirk and Spock? They get captured by Klingons, or something, at some point?

Edit I've got a couple of suggestions but I think the one I'm thinking of is Dwellers in the Crucible.

I recall it being quite good but I haven't read it in years, and you know, sometimes you go back to things and discover your teenaged-eyes had a different view of things.

If you're interested, there are other books with essentially girl!Kirk. Specifically, two books by Diane Carey - Dreadnought! and Battlestations! (with the exclamation points). Let's just say that there are ... varying reactions in the fandom to Carey's girl!Kirk (she has a boy!Spock), but I love her and I wish there were more books about her.
