Almost nothing happened that wasn't entirely predictable, but Chris Evans was very touchable-looking and pretty and that's what I went to see, so I got my money's worth.

It was one of those movies where, for most of it, you're thinking that there must be some better compromise solutions but no one seems to be able to conceive of them.

However - minor spoiler:

The thing with the cat really traumatized me. And it's a bit ridiculous because - the cat is okay! The cat is fine! And yet somehow, I found the thing with the cat so upsetting that it just became the only thing I could think about after the movie ended. So now I'm hugging my cat a lot.

"Chris Evans being pretty and playing a daddy" is 99.99999% of the appeal of this movie and I am down with that. I wonder how it's doing, it's getting awful reviews. D:

OH NO cat harm? I can't watch a movie if something happens to a cat!

Octavia Spencer is criminally under-used, mostly Chris Evans is soft and touchable and the child actor is convincingly noncloying.

Aww. It also sounds like one of those movies I would never, ever see if Evans wasn't in it. //facepalm
