Someone mentions that Matthew Bomer of White Collar is in a gay relationship, and my first thought is - in real life?

(Beware comments - some very nasty homophobia from I think only one persistent person)

And, since I haven't commented on White Collar yet and I think at this point fandom will make me pay a toll if I don't offer an opinion - after seeing the pilot, my reaction is: Bomer is pretty, show is cute, the wife makes a slash pairing unattractive, Bomer is pretty, I enjoyed it but I'm not in fannish love, Bomer is pretty.

1. Off in TV land, my fannish reaction to the wife is 'threesome?' That particular grouping hits my archetypical poly hardcore. ETA: I spent the entire pilot not catching Neal's name and referring to him as Pretty. Indeed he is./ETA

Yeah, see, I don't really OTP threesomes - I mean, it doesn't hit my romantic buttons as its own 'ship, most of the time - unless it's on the television show The Inside, but that's a whole 'nother story. And if I were going to OT3, it would have to be a group where all three of them were integrated into a similar enterprise - like, say, team members in Leverage. In the White Collar set up (I've only seen the pilot so far) the wife is an outsider - she's not part of the team. So I can't really 'ship the 3.

That sucks about Bomer. I was so pleased to see he was out.

Heh - see above comment. OT3's aren't usually my thing romantically - I mean, sexually they may be hot but they don't ping me as a romantic-true-love thing that grabs me fannishly. And if any OT3 were going to ping me that way, it wouldn't be this one.

I love threesomes romantically and pwp-ishly and will nearly always pick a threesome over a twosome, and after the second episode I can really buy a White Collar threesome.

But, having said that, I was watching the first episode dreading the ugly Elizabeth-bashing to come. Because you know it's coming.

(White Collar's never going to be my primary fandom though, as the women just aren't prominent enough. On that front it can't compare to Leverage, Middleman or Castle).

I haven't seen the second ep yet - so I can't comment there - but yes, I knew from the first 10 minutes that this fandom is in for some really nasty Elizabeth-bashing. *shudder*

Yes, don't need fic - however, it's cute and I'll keep watching, and maybe that will change. As a wise person on my FList pointed out, Supernatural is probably ending this season - I need a new obsession to replace it. Merlin just doesn't have enough episodes to satisfy me.
